I think you are misrepresenting #1 slightly in order to shoot it down.

I don’t think people have a problem with unfair advantages that result from the hand of cards people are dealt in life. Life isn’t fair and everyone recognizes that. It’s that PEDs give players an unfair “unnatural” advantage.

People want athletes to work with what they were born with to the best of their ability given their circumstances. They want athletes to eat right, work hard, etc.. and reach their potential. When people rise above circumstances, it adds to the glory.

The don’t want athletes taking growth hormones, HGH, EPO, steroids, baking soda etc… and outdoing someone with greater physical gifts that worked harder and smarter.

You don’t think you should define fair the way you see it to shoot down what other people deem as fair.

Yeah, issue number one is more understood as: holding everything else constant (so athletic programs, race, income, etc.), PEDs do not help create equality in sports.
