My latest for Time.com — How Sports Makes a Clear Case for Immigration — is offered to help explain the position economists generally take on immigration. There are few issues that economists actually agree upon. Immigration appears to be on this list. But as Cass Sunstein notes (follow link in article), people tend not to listen to economist. Perhaps framing the story in terms of sports will help.
In other news… Paul Shirley — former NBA player and current writer — visited Southern Utah University this week. Yesterday he talked to my Sports Economics class. And today he talked to the SUU campus. Both talks went very well. There is a chance there will be video of his SUU talk that I can post. If that happens, I will share.
